High, Medium and Low Voltage Design

At KIPO, our experienced electrical consulting engineers have the specialist knowledge and expertise to produce high, medium and low voltage designs to the highest standard.

We ensure that we understand infrastructure and the space required around switchboards to enable safe access. Having been appointed on a comprehensive number of projects, KIPO have extensive HV, MV, LV and heavy power distribution design experience, whether it’s for power stations, energy centres, data centres, leisure venues or hotels.

KIPO provide electrical consultancy and design services that involve the consideration of dissipation of heat around equipment in switch-room layouts. With every design, we consider the cable sizing and method of install, as well as the utility origin of incoming power supply characteristics. We also use specialist power quality correction equipment such as power factor correction and harmonic filters as well as ventilation and/or cooling systems to prevent over-heating within the switch room. The layouts of the switch-rooms also consider underground cable ducts, or overhead ladder racks, pit and duct, earthing layouts, small power, security and lighting.

We also provide protection studies and solutions to ensure that no single points of failure occur within complex Data Centre switchgear controls.

With every design we produce, we ensure that we limit or completely eliminate power losses during works, and we also develop strategic stage sequence drawings to limit downtime of power to the customer.
