Virgo Fidelis School
The project involved a £5million new build extension of the school with low energy technologies provided to comply with planning application requirements.
Sustainable Solutions included:
A wind turbine
Thermal Heating
Air Source Heat Pumps
Natural Ventilation
Rainwater collection
PV power
LED lighting and lighting control
The scheme also required a new kitchen, reception, classrooms and sports areas. This included:
Dedicated emergency lighting, lighting control, photo cell control, BMS VSD pumps, meter management systems, fire detection and alarms, lifts and gas mains were provided.
The lighting design incorporated full Dialux calculations, Cable sizing undertaken using Amtech predesign.
Discrimination and Protection Study providing grading on the new electrical substation and systems.
Project implementation included all stages of RIBA including FAT’s, SAT’s, snagging, defects review, contractual discussions/ compliance, British standard compliance, testing and commissioning inspections, photographs of defects within a report, meeting notes O&M manual approvals and final handover.
