Covering your Arc Flash requirements
An Arc Flash study is performed to identify the extent of the specific Ark flash hazard at a given item of switchgear within your facility, identifying the extent of the hazard. The object of such a study is to minimise or mitigate the hazard when servicing the switchgear.
Consequently, an Arc Flash hazard is identified correctly in terms of restrictive boundary limiting access and approach to the switchgear. The appropriate PPE must be worn at the beyond the boundary identified in the study. Warning notices are provided alongside the data produced by the short circuit model. Calculations are performed in accordance with IEEE 1584 and or NFPA 70E: 2018
